"Little Red Riding Hood"

A cartoon movie that had come out in 2006 would be, Hoodwinked, where an investigation occurs to find out what happened to granny. The two detectives that are leading the case find out many things do not appear as they seem. The suspects in the investigation are Little Red Riding Hood, her sweet old grandmother, the hungry wolf, and the ax-wielding huntsman. Through them combing through the details they find the unmasking of the notorious Goody Bandit, a recipe thief who led the police on a wild goose chase to live happily ever after and gain a recipe that granny had locked away. With each character telling their sides of the story you can see that the character, in the beginning, aren’t as they seem as the story begins to unfold. You see that the grandmother isn’t as helpless as she seems, Red Riding Hood isn’t as innocent as she was portrayed, the wolf isn’t as dangerous from when he first appeared, and the woodsman isn’t so knowledgeable of the trees. Through this version of Little Red Riding Hood, you can see the different aspects of Little Red Riding Hood by her having a bigger role and a more leadership role.
This would be more of a social cartoon. This film was directed and written by Corey Edwards, Todd Edwards, and Tony Leech. I like this film because it was the first movie, I watched that was themed from Little Red Riding Hood. I like the differences in the roles of the characters in Hoodwinked rather than the tale that is told when we were younger.
